Parent-Assisted Toddler Classes (Ages 2 to 3 Years Old)

Introductory Class

CGA’s toddler class is a 35 minute parent assisted class for two and three year olds centered on movement education and socialization.  Through the utilization of modified preschool station setups, children will develop strength, spatial awareness, and gross motor skills.  Your involvement in this class helps your child develops trust and independence in a fun and safe environment while learning the basic skills and vocabulary of gymnastics.

Independent Pre-School Classes (Ages 3 to 4 Years Old)

Introductory Class

In our fun-filled 50 minute class, three and four year olds develop strength and flexibility and learn fundamental gymnastics skills in a fun, fast-paced class that utilizes creative circuits. Children are introduced to each piece of gymnastics apparatus as they are being taught introductory preschool gymnastics skills and body positions that help develop coordination, balance, strength, and body awareness.  Additionally, there is a strong emphasis on social skills including sharing, teamwork, listening to and following directions, problem solving, courtesy and more. Instruction takes place in our scaled down, safety-oriented, specialized preschool area while parents observe from the lobby.

Junior Beginner Boys (Ages 5 to 6 Years Old)

Junior Beginner Boys is a 65 minutes introductory class designed for five and six year old boys with little or no prior gymnastics experience.  This class teaches basic gymnastics techniques and terminology through positive coaching methods that emphasizes progression and proper technique for each skill.  This class provides comprehensive gymnastics instruction on bars, rings, floor and vault for beginning-level gymnasts in a non-competitive environment. 

 

Beginner Boys ( Ages 6 to 8 Years Old)

Introductory Class

Beginner Boys is a 65 minute introductory class designed for six to eight year old boys with little or no prior gymnastics experience.  This class teaches basic gymnastics techniques and terminology through positive coaching methods that emphasizes progression and proper technique for each skill.  This class provides comprehensive gymnastics instruction on bars, rings, floor and vault for beginning-level gymnasts in a non-competitive environment. 

Continuing Boys (Ages 8 Years Old and Up)

Introductory Class

This is a mixed level, 65 minute class for boys ages 8 yeas and older.  The coach assesses the overall skill level of attending students, and teaches an appropriate lesson for each gymnast.  This class is designed to build strength, coordination, and flexibility in a fun and controlled environment and is a great supplement to other sports. 

Advanced Boys – Ages 6 to 8 Years Old

In Advanced Boys, gymnasts will continue to improve basic skills while being introduced to more advanced skills.  Increased flexibility and strength training will be emphasized. Boys will be trained on floor exercise, pommel horse, parallel bars, high bar, mushroom, rings, and tumble track.

Senior Beginner Girls (8 Years Old & Up)

Introductory Class

Senior Beginner Girls is a combined beginner/intermediate class for girls eight years and older.  This class allows girls to work their basic and intermediate skills alongside their peers.  Gymnasts move directly to Advanced Girls 1 from this class.  

Intermediate Girls (6-8 Years Old)

By Coaches Recommendation Only

Intermediate Girls is designed for girls ages 6-8 years old who have had some previous gymnastics training or have advanced from Beginner Girls.  Gymnasts must have mastered basic positions and skills and have learned correct terminology of the skills.  Students at this level are able to modify elements and make corrections

Junior Advanced Girls- Blue (4 ½ to 6 Years Old)

Junior Advanced Girls Blue is a class option for those girls who are currently at an Intermediate skill level but are not 6 years old yet.  Gymnasts may be recommended for this class if they demonstrate proficiency of the beginner level skills, an enthusiastic attitude for the sport and a work ethic and attention span that will allow the gymnast to complete a 90-minute class.  When a gymnast is 6 years old their coach will make a determination on whether they should continue in the JAG classes or enroll in Intermediate Girls.

 

Junior Advanced Girls-Orange (6 to 7 ½ Years Old)

Junior Advanced Girls Orange is a class option for those girls who are currently at an Advanced 1 skill level but are not 7 years old yet.  Gymnasts may be recommended for this class if they demonstrate proficiency of the intermediate level skills, an enthusiastic attitude for the sport and a work ethic and attention span that will allow the gymnast to complete a 90-minute class.  When a gymnast is 7 years old their coach will make a determination on whether they should continue in the JAG classes or enroll in Advanced Girls 1.

 

Advanced Girls 1 (7 Years Old & Up)

This class is for gymnasts who have demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of intermediate skills.  The addition of designated conditioning time is designed to increase strength and flexibility in order to introduce drills for more advanced skills.  This class moves at a somewhat faster pace and expects students to not need basic reminders about form and technique on beginner and intermediate level skills.

Advanced Girls 2 7 Years Old & Up

After taking our Advanced Girls class your child’s coach may recommend Advanced Girls 2. Advanced Girls 2, ages 7 years and older, is an hour and a half-long class that will continue focusing on the 4 Olympic events: vault, bars, beam and floor. Once a year in May we will look to our Advanced 2 classes for blossoming talent to grow our Level 2 and 3 competitive teams.

Tumbling (9 Years Old and Up)

The tumbling class is designed for gymnasts or cheerleaders interested in improving their tumbling skills on the floor and trampoline.  Students will work on basic floor skills to continue strengthening their bodies, as well as essential tumbling skills for such as back handsprings and round-offs.

Adult Gymnastics (18 Years and Up)

Adult Gymnastics is the perfect opportunity for "wannabees" and "has-beens" to enjoy the fitness benefits and have fun with gymnastics!  Whether you’ve always wanted to try gymnastics or already have experience, our skilled and knowledgeable staff can help you improve and advance. Utilizing men’s and women’s Olympic apparatus, tumble tracks, and our foam pit, we will safely instruct and guide you as you increase your strength and understanding of gymnastics.  This class is loosely structured and goal oriented.

Adult Fitnastics (18 Years and Up)

Get in shape gymnastics style!  This 45 minute class will consist of conditioning type activities and no actual gymnastics.  You will be taken through a variety of different gymnastics workouts that we do on a daily basis with our competitive gymnasts.

Summer Gymnastics Camps

These half-day, week-long camps are perfect for any child who wants to explore gymnastics in a safe and fun environment! All levels of gymnastics ability are welcome. Camps will be led by our qualified and talented camp staff. Children will have an opportunity to learn gymnastics skills on all of the Olympic events, as well as participate in confidence-building games and themed crafts.
Daily registration will open on Monday the week prior and will be on a first come first serve basis

 

Wee Love Music

Sing, dance and play while learning about the world of music  through fun and interactive exploration with rhythm instruments, drums, balls, toy animals, bean bags, scarves, hoops, books, bells,  a parachute and more!  Also learn some American Sign Language!

Homeschool Gymnastics

CGA’s Homeschool Gymnastics class is designed to provide a physical fitness component to any home school program.  Gymnastics is a way to develop coordination, strength, and flexibility.  Classes are coed and meet once a week for 65 minutes.  Children must be 5 years of age and older to participate in the homeschool classes.
